I miss and think about My Heroes ...

 

My Grandfather in France 1916 ...
love this pic with a little dog lifting it's leg .

 

   My Dad was in Darwin 1942 when it was devastated - he was too. 

 

 My Bro was in Vietnam in the 60s then Malaysia ...
he never recovered -
the experiences took him away from us in 2001. 

 

 Age shall not weary them ...
Nor the years condemn ...
At the going down of the sun and in the morning ...
We will remember them ...
Lest We Forget.

Haven't thought about screen printing since school days ...

so the opportunity for a free workshop sounded like fun ...

loved the studio ...

the old bath for hosing down screens ...

excited to see this gorgeousness ... 

we were like kids trying colour combinations ... 

I'm colouring this piece with Fabric Colour pens ...

very cathartic ,,,

when complete it'll be my 2014 diary cover ...

loved every minute of the workshop!
