This past week has been a week of winning ...

a day with a girlfriend I'd not seen for ages ...
My Darling Dee's birthday ...

more time than usual with my Girls this week ...

Moulding and Casting workshop ... making replicas of three dimensional objects ...


High in the mountains above the lush green of the mid north coast
we learnt about moulding and casting. The technique of making replicas
of three dimensional objects is used in museums, films, special effects,
by sculptors, restorers, artists and crafters ... and now Moi ...
first task was make mould of your finger ...
then create moulds of found objects ...
wait for them to set ...
and there you have them, perfect replicas ...
but there's more ...

Frida Kahlo Her Photos exhibiton ... Artisphere Arlington VA ...


Upon Kahlo's death in 1954, more than 6,500 personal photographs and items belonging to her and husband Diego Rivera were sealed and put in storage.



Artisphere is the first and only venue in the United States to present Frida Kahlo: Her Photos, an exhibition featuring 259 images from the artist's personal collection of photographs sealed until 2007.
