Uncovering the hoardes from their hidey holes has been fun ...
readying 'treasures' for something bigger and beautifuller ...

Medals found some time ago ...
layered extensively with grot, filth, stains and stench ...
eight hours soaking only frayed/ruined the ribands ...
yet barely moved years of neglect.
replacement ribands are ordered from HERE ...
not neccessarily the correct ones ...
only you and I'll know that secret ...
The medals and chain survived on this historical piece ...
the backing has to go ...
the previous owner drove a metal plug through centre of most of the medals ...
that could be a creative bonus ...
