Flea Market Finds = rug canvas + knit needles timber box + tortoiseshell + teeny tins ...

The roll of rug making canvas ...
is a metre wide by about 15 metres ...
that will be used for a creation after June.

The Knitting Needles box ...
well, you know how I love a timber box ...
cost was $10 for both.

The  teeny tins are all from online purchases ...
they're for future projects too!

The yellow Vincents tin is a strong reminder of my Mum.
When I was a small kid Mum took in ironing for a local laundrette.
Hour after hour, she ironed and drank gallons of Coca-Cola ...
to wash down the Vincents powders ...
for the headache that constantly plagued her.
A combination that was the start of Mum's ruination!

The gorgeous Victorian Tortoiseshell, mesh purse is an online find too.

The very best Sunday = Burnt Orange Cafe + North Head + Sydney harbour = pure Bliss ...

MJ chose pumpkin, fetta, carrot marmalade tart ...
a touch toooo sweet ...
The bubbles tickled our noses from an Apple Cider and an Elderflower drink.
I was the winner with the most delectable
Tasmanian Salmon cake with a hint of mayo, green apple ...
t'was the lightest, warmest, delish, best I've ever ...
at
do yourself a favour, go on, you must ...
this was the view from our tabkle across to HMAS Watson on South Head ...
Burnt Orange was formerly Army property then in 1920 Mosman Golf Club ...
they have floors of gorgeous, retail ... (pssst very expensive)
Vicki Archer's French Essence  was in the house ...
we drove on to North Head ...
 Sydney Harbour was glistening ...
magnifique ...
boats churned up the white water ...
waves thumped ...
again and again ...
we gasped ...
Canon moments were by the dozen ...
there'll be more pics in a couple of days ...
wait till you see them *smile/sigh*!!!

Sunday was stupendous ...
 gorgeous company ...
beautiful food  ...
in the city I adore.

It's the tonic needed on a Sunday afternoon ...
I'm ready to tackle the week ahead ...
more than I was on earlier in the day ...
sun and salt air does a girl wonders!

Hope yours will be a blissfully happy week too .

Loving south King Street Newtown = Glitterbox + Jaannu + Kingfish Bistro + MJ = BLISS ...

Yesterday was a day of bliss down the south end of King St., Newtown ...
The gorgeous Sharon of Glitterbox (hiding behind Jimmy) at 469 King St. ...
created a new me ...
she's a genius, knew exactly what I've wanted for so long ...
the team are fabulous ...

My fish was delish at Kingfish Bistro at 503 King St., ...
MJ was very disappointed with the Boulibaisse ...
the two glasses of crisp, cool Fontaine Rose ...
had me wanting a thousand glasses more ...
and talking shorthand!

we badgered the lovely Trudy of Jannua at 473 King St., ...
that she must get herself an online profile ...
for her lovely store ...

Flea Market Finds = tried to be restrained but weakened = perplexed ...

Our intention was to do a couple of errands and a leisurely Saturday brunch ...
The Diva and I happened upon three garages sales ...
bad, bad, bad ...
50 cents for this gorgeous timber A4 box with a beautiful soft folding cover ...
$2 for a beautifully framed old French print ...
a set of very old metal edged index cards ... 50 cents
underneath is a wonderful old timber, hinged, rusty box ... $1.00
black beads ... $4.00
a bag of Paurie shell ... $2.00
a silver cake tongs ... $1.00
brass utensils .... $3.00
and the teeny tiny salt and paper shakers ... $2 a pair
how could I refuse?

I have an idea of how to use them all ...
BUT ...
I'm perplexed at how cheesed off I am at myself for weakening ...
not once ...
but twice this week when Reverse Garbage got me!
OK ...
note to self ...
to try harder to remain more restrained this week!

There's more wonderful finds over at Sophie's here ...
and there's more I neglected to include in my finds ... tsk, tsk!

Great Grandma sewing catastrophe = re-making = whistling = Belle + gorgeous fun ...

Endeavouring to be the ultimate Great-Grandma ...
the task was a romper for Belle ...
that became a dress ...
no way ...
could I get those darn metal fasteners to work at the crotch!
Finding the shirring sold by the metre in Lincraft ...
was a dream come true ...
until I measured the finished dress and realised ...
it was half her total chest measurement!
Taaaa Daaaaa ...
the catastrophe ...
fixed and finished ...
Belle looks a dream ...
as we we were having a moment ...
I started giving her the old wolf whistle ...
she was fascinated ...
the more I whistled the more she laughed ...
and laughed ...
she laughed hard ...
and loud ...
while looking so very gorgeous in MaMa's creation!

Mummy and I dashed off to Lincraft ...
there's more dresses to make ...
watch this space!
