Flea Market Finds = tried to be restrained but weakened = perplexed ...

Our intention was to do a couple of errands and a leisurely Saturday brunch ...
The Diva and I happened upon three garages sales ...
bad, bad, bad ...
50 cents for this gorgeous timber A4 box with a beautiful soft folding cover ...
$2 for a beautifully framed old French print ...
a set of very old metal edged index cards ... 50 cents
underneath is a wonderful old timber, hinged, rusty box ... $1.00
black beads ... $4.00
a bag of Paurie shell ... $2.00
a silver cake tongs ... $1.00
brass utensils .... $3.00
and the teeny tiny salt and paper shakers ... $2 a pair
how could I refuse?

I have an idea of how to use them all ...
BUT ...
I'm perplexed at how cheesed off I am at myself for weakening ...
not once ...
but twice this week when Reverse Garbage got me!
OK ...
note to self ...
to try harder to remain more restrained this week!

There's more wonderful finds over at Sophie's here ...
and there's more I neglected to include in my finds ... tsk, tsk!

Cherie, it's like reading about me! I'm practising self-restraint but it's sadly only because it's been so hot this weekend I didn't make it out! Love your finds and I wish I stumbled across 3 garage sales - wow! :-)

Only time its bad to have stopped at a sale is when there is nothing there to make you smile You did well and it was way worth it wasnt it? lol

Oh dear, I'm a hardcore op shopper but I never go to garage sales. Having seen your finds, I think that might change. Should never have looked at your blog!! Too much great stuff!!

Oh my! Those boxes would have been so mine had I stumbled across them. Not so much, everything else, though the beads had some allure for reinventing into another necklace. But - OH!! those boxes.

self restraint is probably best left to Monks anyway so don't beat yourself up about it! You have some lovely treasures, have put a few bucks in someone elses pocket so as far as I can see all is right with the world!
