Sunday Selection =Trees = nature = textures = textiles ...

Look at how gorgeous this bark is ...
This gorgeous tall Norfolk pine exists on one of Sydney's busiest, dirtiest arterial roads ...
yet look at the trunk ...
looking as if Botany Road is killing it from the outside ...
yet the baby pines show nature is defying humanity ...
another beautiful trunk in Petersham ...
looking wounded on one side ...
while the elephant feet base oozes over the gutters edge ...
isn't nature beautifully amazing?

The tree in that first one does have some beautiful bark! Looks as if someone has been drawing patterns on it!

Interesting the way the bark has all ruffled out in the next few. Is that a response to pollution, do you think?

Oh I like these - what a great assortment of textures, nature really is amazing. Sadly the Norfolk Pine next door to me abruptly disappeared from the landscape in the blink of an eye compared to how long it would have taken it to grow - the loppers are back today finishing off the destruction - shame on them...
