Flea Market Finds at Brooklyn Flea, Lafayette Street, Brooklyn, New York ...

My heart was skipping ...
I was at Brooklyn Flea ...
a dream come true ...
old stuff by the truckload ...
boo hoo ...
too heavy to bring home ...
nic nacs, collections, wonderful stuff ...
prices no different ...
pretty much the same or cheaper to back home ...
georgouseness everywhere ...
surrounded by history ...
stunning vintage threads ...
typewriters of old are big businness in NYC ...
there were two stalls ...
of renovated, working, typewriters ...
girls dresses just like home ...
walking out for only $12-$15 ...
weight restrictions were a killer ...
limiting my buying!
Food was sensaish ...
oysters as big as plates ...
their Rhubarb and Ginger was magic ...
these guys make ice blocks all week long ...
then sellout on Saturday in a flash ...
their blog is here
Extinct Optics ...
love the name ...
they simply collect old specs ...
remove the lens and sell the frames ...
hundreds of choices ...
bags and boxes galore ...
I swear to you ...
I couldn't believe I was there ...
cute and fab ideas for kids stuff ...
made for more OMG moments ...
across the street I spied this beautiful tree ...
immediately I thought of that old movie ...
'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn' ...
which had absolutely nothing to do with this tree ...
it was simply me having a moment ...
at last ...
after the succession of chain stores ...
we finally found a cafe on a corner...
that served gluten free ...
we sat watching the passing parade ...
with silly smiles on our dials ...
yes we were in Brooklyn!!!

My USA Flea Market Finds were many ...
as yet they're not sorted ...
so I'll do that soon ...
and post the results too!!

Pop over to Sophie's to see what others have found here.

I had never been tempted to go to New York, but now you have put the flea market spin on it. I would love to do some NY state thrifting.

It looks like a successful visit.
If you had found a treasure too goo to pass up you could consider shipping it home, even though the price would have to be considered. (You can tell I never ship anything.)

I'd like a private viewing, please.

Will bring gluten free cake.

I've been reading so much recently about the Brooklyn Flea...and it looks so great! Can't wait to see all of your finds...but your right, I'm sure so many great things were a little too big to carry!
