My Place and Yours ... Pre Loved, Inherited or Thrifted ...

Theme Queen for this week is Zoe at A Boys Mummy who's chosen ::
~ Pre loved-inherited or thrift-ed ~
Right up my alley Zoe ...
almost my entire existance, my life, my blog title ...
here comes under those headings...
here's a glimpse ...
a small chest made by my Dad when he worked the PMG Workshops in 1950s -still showing the paint I splashed on it as a kid!
On top a glass jar of thrifted buttons ...
a thrifted depression glass container holding a plant ...
a thrifted oriental lady statue that cost 50 cents at a garage sale ...
this bust of my Mum by Raynor Hoff in 1925 ...
along side my Mum's and her Mum's sewing baskets ...
on top a small box of inherited drafting tools ...
my pile of hat boxes ...
three inherited and four thrifted ...
thrifted ducks on the wall all cost no more than $2 each ...
this lamp inherited in the 1970s ...
the swan inherited from my Grandma ...
When I inherited this chair I instantly had it reupholstered to remove the indentation of my Dad's butt crack that freaked me out ...
inherited this beautiful shell my Dad bought back from Darwin in 1945 ...
the timber case made by my Dad was unfortunately and embarrassingly my school bag ...
everything around it has been pre loved or thrifted ...
Inherited then had a new top made for my Grandma's Singer machine frame ...
saving the best to last ...
My gorgeous Blossom ...
three years ago I inherited her from my vet ...
something very bad had happened to her that I didn't want to know about ...
she's my much loved, trusty companion.

Your home is so gorgeous ... but getting rid of poor daddy's butt crack. Ah well, I suppose he deserved it for making you take a wooden case to school!
