I've been tagged ...

The lovely Nessaknits tagged me with the following ...

1. What is one thing you cannot stand?
The list from this anal Virgo is endless. Right now number one is bad spelling and punctuation. It's so easy to use spellchecker as a token of respect to your readers. Would you ever publish a book without using spellcheck?

2. If you could go back to your childhood what cartoon or T.V show would you pick to be your favourite?
TV in Australia began when I was almost in my teens ... yes I'm 39 years old ... by then I was too old to wear Mickey Mouse Club ears ... LOL!

3. What's something you do or have done that would surprise a lot of people?
The list is long from this long, wild and exciting life. Graduating with a degree in Sociology at 50 or being gluten, dairy, wheat, caffeine, night shade free  spring to mind ... there's zillions more.

4. Do you believe in ghosts?
YES!

5. When you go into a store what's your weakness, something you just can't help yourself buying more of?
Depends on the store.

6. What's your funniest story you have on your significant other?
My SO is my cat Blossom!

7. What is your proudest moment of being a parent?
My girl continues to make me proud in so many ways, no way could I choose only one moment!

8. If you could go back and relive one day of your life which would you choose?
There's been too many to put one above the other especially at the risk of hurting or offending someone I love dearly!

OK I'll tag ::
Cornflake ~ Susan  & Danimezza   emphasising to only play if they have time!

When your kid is sick = Friday at RPA = 7.5 hours, triage blunder, fire = you have to laugh!!

When your kid is sick, no matter how their age, nothing else matters.
Friday we were at RPA with MJ in the throes of an asthma / viral attack.
After four hours waiting blood was taken and a canula fitted ...
after five hours a triage nurse was asked what's happening ...
we'd never heard of a chronic asthmatic waiting this long?
Taaa Daaa ...
the initital triage nurse had recorded my girl had a fever and aches ...
no mention of asthma ...
instantly her record was flagged to see the next available doctor ...
we went back to waiting with her lying across the seats in emergency.

After six hours, a passing, local, nutter, started a fire in the ladies room ...
alarms rang, smoke billowed, water flooded ...
everyone was evacuated, we huddled just outside this door ...
in the cold night air.

After seven hours we were herded back into the emergency area!
The police came and took statements.

After seven hours and fifteen minutes we decided we were over it!

As my girl went to ask for the canula to be removed her name was called!
The sweetest Doc was full of apologies!
She listened, examined and tested ...
my girl blew good numbers into that hideous blow and empty your lungs three times contraption ...
her lungs sounded clear, medication was changed!

All along my girl wouldn't let me have my Kodak moment ...
but in a split second I did ...
note the Macca's wrapping was not ours ...
my girl declared she was feeling the best she had for three days!

Could it have been the three bottles of water she'd consumed ...
the sandwich I'd taken that she'd picked at ...
the panadeine forte I'd slipped her ...
or was it the fun and games we'd been part of ???

Today she's markedly improved.
Today I took my mothering skills to her house ...
we had a punt on the Cox Plate ...
we laughed, we disagreed, we hung out ...
we still laughed about the fiasco that was yesterday!

Honestly being a Mum is the greatest no matter how old your kid is!

MEME Etiquette? Does starting a Meme using existing Meme title and theme = plagiarism???

You all know how I love a Meme or three!

I'm curious as to the consensus about copyright, owning and naming a meme?

If a successful Meme has been running since 2006 with over 200 subscribers ...

is it appropriate for another blogger to start a Meme using the exact same title and format?

Hey I'm not the Meme police.

But to my mind such an act reeks of plagiarism!

Shouldn't the originator of the Meme retain the title as their own work?

Isn't it blatantly inappropriate for someone to start up an exact copy Meme using both the same title and the same Meme theme?

Isn't Meme copying exactly the same as Quilt copying ... read more here

Isn't Meme copying the same as the never ending copying done by people tracing their family history ?

Am I being generational?

What's happened to old fashioned manners, respect and courtesy to the copyright of another person's work that has successfully endured?
Interested to hear your thoughts!

DENIM = morphing + where did it originate = mystery solved ?

Remember the one legged jeans ... here
and how they're morphing ... here
well, I've been up since the crack of in creative mode ...
plus did a Google on denim ...
and discovered the following ...
A collection of anonymous, 17th-century Italian paintings may be one of the first-known depictions of denim, putting to rest the age-old debate as to where the fabric originated. The works' value is estimated at between $90,000 and $1.25 million ... read more
