Saturday saunter & shop in Surry Hills = Bird Textile Emporium

This gorgeous store opened as a pharmacy in 1898 ...
then closed in 1994 ...
till a couple of years ago ...
when Rachel parked her bike outside!
Making it possible for others to enjoy a visual feast ...
original images and woodwork remain untouched ...
cabinets that held lotions and potions are now alive with colour ...
the gorgeous old ceiling and overhead fan take you back in time ...
eco fabric, fashion, homewares and more fill every space ...
handbags, lampshades, cushions and delightful eco treasures abound ...
gorgeous bias binding at only $3.50 metre are part of the splendour
beautiful gift kits ...
quilt kits call to be taken home!

A remnant pack to create a tote was my choice ...
to remember the lovely time at ...

I'll make that tote today!

I'll show you more of our Saturday saunter in Surry Hills tomorrow.
