Sunday Scribblings ... #89 DANCE ...

... at the local Scottish Association Ball on a Saturday night in 1960 Moi in silver, Dad handsomely rakeish, Mum in black ... check the gloves!

We danced ~~~~

The Velita.
The Eightsome Reel.
The Pride of Erin.
The Progressive Barn Dance.
The Gay Gordons.
and Strip the Willow ... with clothes on ... ;)

Nights of gay frivolity ... Och aye, Hoot mon!
My quest was to discover what a Scotsman wore under his kilt ... on a 'date' with the parents ...NOT!

"The Progressive Barn Dance". I have no idea what that means, but I'm loving the name. The photo is lovely. Sounds like a memorable time had by all.
