Write on Wednesday.

Up late, lurking the net, I've stumbled upon an beautifully presented writers site and suddenly my pen is poised, my muse is stirring, I'd like to join.

What's the attraction I ponder, the newness, the presentation, the honesty of the inspiring moderator ... I expect it's all of the above? The combination of a positive, genuine feeling plus good old fashioned "if it feels good do it" intuition beckons me from the screen ... tempting me to join.

On writing Becca asks
"How about you? Have you found your line yet? Do you think you have one? How do you go about expressing it?"

Yes Becca ... I discovered my line long ago; life experience, the believeable combined with the unbelieveable, expressed with truth and wit oozes on hand written pages from a bulging, dusty, rusty, filing cabinet.

Times right to fling open those creaky drawers ... to commit, times right to take Becca's lead, start anew, start writing at another place ... for now I'm conjuring up a name for a blog where pounding the keyboard, will bring tall tales but true, of tradition, learned behaviour, honest fun, wierd wit, a smidge of crassness, some cynicism, possibly the need for a tissue might occur, then you'll know as I do, how blessed I am.

Manic Monday #121 ...

If your personality had to be summed up as a sandwich, what kind of sandwich would you be?
My fave sandwich is turkey, cranberry, grated carrot and beetroot on wheat/gluten free bread ... this has been number one for me for so long, people know I love this and sometimes I groan with happiness ... this is my luscious, happy, better than sex sanger!

If you knew that someone was dying, but they didn’t know, would you tell them the truth or deceive them about it?
This would totally depend on who it was, how close we were and the impact or enormity of the consequences of telling.

Do you dress the same when you are depressed as you do when you are very happy?
Every day is a wonderful day, a joy to be alive, depression's left my list ... I wear something that suits the happenings of the time!

Sunday Scribblings - #115 - Guide

Sunday Scribblings prompt this week is 'Guide'.

I've never understood or written poetry until I recently attempted writing Haiku's ... now the following has appeared, from whence it came is a mystery?

Has my muse transformed ... am I withdrawing from pain medication?

GUIDE.

A smell
a cooling warmth
knowing someone is close
knowing you're blessed

Escaping
surviving
laughing when unscathed
smiling a knowing smile

Sensing
A man wearing a hat
a boy in Quaker garb
the aroma of an old ladies cologne

Being saved
for something special
the guides that surround me
quelling aloneness ...
guiding me to safety ... till my work here is done!

Good Companies - bad online names, URL spellings ...

Ypou know those people who name their kids but never write down the initials of the chosen name or put the two names together, on paper, before subjecting their child to years of ridicule and bullying?

The following highlights the stupidity of people ...unless they did it on purpose that is ...

All of these are legitimate companies that didn't spend enough time considering how their online names might appear ... and be misread.

These are not made up.

Who's Your Sex and the City Match ...

Take this test!
Pessimistic? You? No way! You might come off that way occasionally but you can't fool us. Under that hard shell lives a soft heart and someone who would do just about anything for friends (and family, sure, but mostly friends). With strong opinions and the rare ability say what's on your mind, you are truly one of a kind.

When things get tough, you're usually the one your friends turn to for inspiration and support — and a little tough love to boot. But you're also one of the most independent people around. Not one for superficial relationships, you might not win the prize for having the most friends, but the ones you do have are real — and just what you need.

Manic Monday 119 ...

Manic Monday ... crikey where did these come from ????

You have accomplished a difficult task and hear someone else taking the credit. How do you deal with the situation?
While I had the cheat up against a brick wall, with my hands around their throat, I would convince them, as I threatened to throttle them, it was in their best interest to 'fess up!!

If you had to marry someone that you presently know unromantically, and spend the rest of your life as their spouse, who would you choose?
If I had to ... only if I really had to (I know him from watching him on the 'Apprentice' & 'Celebrity Apprentice') ... it would have to be Donald Trump ... who else would be able to ease the pain or lighten the load?

If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are living now?
Is this before or after being hitched to the Donald?
